Centrifuge

The centrifuge FE-510 is designed for drying a wide range of products such as leafy vegetables (i.e. several cut cabbage types) and various cut vegetables such as carrots, onions and leeks.

The wet product is inserted into the top side of the machine. The drum rotates at a low speed while being filled to ensure a good distribution of the product. The movable cone (at the bottom of the drum) closes the centrifuge while filing.

When the buffer conveyor is empty, the drum will start to rotate faster and the centrifuge process starts. The moisture is removed and discharged by the centrifugal force through the wedge wire sieve drum in-between the product.

When the required centrifuging time has been achieved, the drum will slowly top rotating. This will ensure the product is not bruised. The cone on the bottom side of the drum moves down and therefore the dry product falls out of the machine from the bottom side.

When emptying the drum, an air knife is used to blow the drum clean so that no product remains behind in the centrifuge.

Product specification

Cut leafy vegetables (such as cut cabbage types) and various cut vegetables such as carrots, onions and leeks. Depending on the specific weight, there may be limitations regarding product sizes.

Capacity

The centrifuge can process a capacity of up to 2,500 kg an hour depending on the product, the required attached moisture percentage and the preliminary dewatering.
