Sormac energy-neutral

The installation of some 1,600 solar panels on its premises in Venlo, the Netherlands is making Sormac even more sustainable. The project was started on January 7, 2019.

The aim of installing these panels, expected to generate some 450,000 kWh a year, is to offset Sormac’s current annual electricity and gas consumption which accounts for a total energy value of about 420,000 kWh. Once the energy savings that have been implemented in recent years are added in, it becomes clear that, energy-wise, Sormac will be amply self-sufficient as of this spring.
