Sormac cutting-edge innovations during Fruit Logistica 2019

Sormac, the go-to specialist in vegetable processing equipment, has been participating in Fruit Logistica in Berlin for many years. Our equipment demonstrations always attract a wide audience. This year also promises to be a busy one at stand D-10 in hall 3.1.

According to Roy Lemmen, Sales Director at Sormac, the semi-automatic slice and wedge cutter F-2000 and the FS-3600/Multicut will be the surprising crowd pullers. The F-2000 is the FS-3600/Multicut’s smaller brother, introduced last year and very well received. Both machines can cut a very extensive range of vegetables and fruit into wedges, (half) slices or sticks with a very precise, good and repeatable cut. It is of interest to anyone who processes fruit or vegetables.

The F-2000 is Sormac’s response to market demand. This versatile machine is very easy to use: the operator places two products in the holders and then presses the start buttons on the side of the machine with both hands. The machine then cuts the products into the desired shape. After cutting, the product is placed on an optional conveyor belt. The easy-to-operate semi-automatic wedge and slice cutter F-2000 is suitable for 1,200 pieces of fruit and vegetables per hour. It is easy to maintain, easily accessible and easy to clean. Because it can process all kinds of fruit and vegetables, it is perfect for all environments where fruit or vegetables are cut.

The design and execution of this new machine meet the quality standards that existing customers have come to expect from Sormac. “Sormac aspires to perfection in design, construction and functionality of all our machines. In this way, customers can be confident that they can deliver a

perfect end product. “Our benchmark is the best end result”, says Roy Lemmen.

The semi-automatic slice and wedge cutter F-2000 is not the only innovation Sormac intends to present at Fruit Logistica. Also new are the RB-80, a recipe belt that allows products to be mixed according to a programmed recipe, and the MS-30, a three-metre long knife peeler for potatoes and round tubers, which will be revealed to the public for the first time. This peeling machine combines a high peeling capacity of up to 7,000 kg/hour with optimal peeling results. Roy Lemmen: “There are other suppliers of knife peelers, but our drum yields the best peeling results. The users of our machines know it: the difference is in the detail!”
